We’ve packed this intensive 3-hour session with practical, stress-free learning to take you from "terrified" to "totally in control."

### 1. Master *Your* Machine (No More Threading Dread!)

Every overlocker has its own personality. You’ll learn the ins and outs of your specific model:

- **The "No-Panic" Threading Method:** Learn how to thread your machine from scratch without losing your mind (yes, it is possible!).
- **Decoding Tension:** Demystify those tension dials so you can perfectly balance your stitches on any fabric.
- **Troubleshooting 101:** What to do when a thread snaps, a needle breaks, or the stitches bunch up.

### 2. Learn to Overlock on your Domestic Sewing Machine

- Learn which setting to use for clean fabric edge locking
- Learn which sewing foot to use
- Practise edging options to find your preferred option

### 3. Time-Saving Tips & Tricks

- **What to Bring:** Your own overlocker - with power cord and foot control, instruction manual and accessories (*or rent one of ours)*, a basic sewing kit (scissors, pins, etc.).

Ready to finally make that perfect cushion, a chic new top, or just want a dedicated space to sew with friendly support? Our **weekly open sewing sessions** are designed for you!

We believe sewing is more fun together, so our sessions are focused on building a **creative community** where we share time, laughter, and knowledge.

**Beginners:** ***Classes are suited to machine sewers with some skill*** or those returning to machine sewing. If this is not you, sign-up to our Confident Beginners Workshops / Courses to get you started.

**Confident Beginners:** We can support you build skills on a project of your choice. We can support understanding commercial patterns, beginner garment alterations, experience zips, linings, piping, appliqué, beginner quilting amongst other projects.

*Starter project ideas often include: A Cushion Cover, A Drawstring Bag, A Toiletry / Make-up Zip Pouch, A Simple Garment*

**Improvers:** Have some experience but want to tackle a new project? We can support you with basic pattern drafting, cloning wardrobe favourites, alterations and fit, bag-making, homeware. We'll work together to choose a project suited to your skill level that will build your skills and help you confidently sew your own creations.

**Improver/Intermediate.** Confident with your machine and ready for a deeper dive?

Need help with a tricky technique or just want some dedicated time to sew? **Bring anything:** an untouched pattern, a half-made piece, or even an upcycle. Our tutors will support you build skills and confidence in a friendly environment

You'll apply your new knowledge immediately by completing a practical project:

(everyone sews at their own speed so please be mindful that you may not complete your project during the workshop, however the skills learnt will be carried forward along your sewing journey.)
